Since being founded, Neccta (Nkomazi East Combined Commerce and Tourism Association) represents the Komatipoort community in all matters of community interest.

Neccta is accordingly acknowledged by all government institutions and the public media, and the community. Neccta strives to improve trade and tourism of Komatipoort and the Nkomazi East region.

With a track record of longer than 8 years, Neccta has achieved a lot. Amongt these count amongst others the elevation of the Crocodile Bridge, ongoing interaction with government on all levels, and also www.komatipoort.com.

Die groot skoonmaak kry nou momentum
Verlede week was Nasionale Skoonmaakweek, maar Eddy Ferreira het hom in die verlede al só vir mense wat mors vererg, dat hy geen aansporing nodig het om steeds hierdie dorp van alle rommel te verlos nie. Eddy is die man wat 'n span van 11 werkloses geleer het hoe om rommel raak te sien, op te tel en te verwyder. Met boskappers en pangas kap hulle die ruie bosse tussen bome op leë erwe oop. Dit kos hom maandeliks R15 000.

Rooiboskatte neem inisiatief in kombuis
Die Voortrekkers wat tans spog met 90 lede, is 'n bedrywige kommando wat sommer drie groot projekte op een slag aanpak. Verlede Vrydag het die gr. 7’s in Pretoria gaan kwalifiseer vir hulle voorslag-kenteken, die hoogste kwalifikasie vir 'n Penkop en Drawwertjie (laerskoolleerders), terwyl die gr. 5’s en 6’e ('n gekombineerde span van 22 Penkoppe en Drawwertjies wat hulself die Rooiboskatte noem) die kampkook- en onthaalkentekens gedoen het.

Nkomazi Rate Payers Association (NRPAS) held a road show in Komatipoort, Marloth Park and Malalane, and on March 11, attracted a lot of support... A large number of people have now joined the Association, and the number is now growing daily. The NRPAS is totally apolitical. The primary objective is ensuring adequate representation of all ratepayers in Nkomazi in collective dealings with the Nkomazi Municipality, with the purpose of facilitating improved service delivery and transparency at Local Government level.....

KOMATIPOORT SPATIAL FRAMEWORK - THE FUTURE  DISCUSSED
Umsebe Developers have been appointed by Nkomazi Municipality to prepare a Spacial Framework Development Plan. They prepared a spacial framework plan in principle for Nkomazi and also for the respective towns, based on broad consultation process they followed.  NECCTA (Nkomazi East Combined Commerce and Tourism Association) invited them to meet with the local business and tourism chamber.  It was a very fruitful meeting and the brainstorming and input rendered by the business people provide  evidence  of the significance of this meeting.
